The Derby Conference Centre has announced Bridge the Gap as its latest charity partner, marking the start of a meaningful collaboration focused on supporting the local community and raising awareness of an important cause. 

The partnership was confirmed following a recent meeting between the Derby Conference Centre team and the charity’s leadership. The meeting gave the Derby Conference Centre team valuable insight into Bridge the Gap’s mission and the people it supports, including its work to improve emotional literacy for children through in school sessions, while helping families access the support they need. Both teams were aligned on the importance of creating opportunities, improving access and making a tangible difference within the community.

    We are a unique multi-purpose venue located just outside the city centre of Derby.     Our building has a rich rail heritage. It was once home to the British Rail Training College, and the venue is now Grade II listed. That history is part of the experience. It shows up in the feel of the place, in the sense that you are staying somewhere with a genuine identity.

    But we also know character is not enough on its own. A great stay needs comfort, convenience and service that feels human.

    We have 50 en-suite bedrooms, including premier, double, twin and single options. That means guests can match the room to the trip. Business travellers often want a calm, practical base.     We also offer self-catering accommodation, which many people use as a longer-term living solution.     We have conference and meeting rooms for between 1 and 200 guests, and each space includes natural daylight, air conditioning, and AV equipment. It also means delegates can arrive, settle in, meet, and stay overnight without the hassle of splitting accommodation across multiple locations.

                  This accreditation recognises our commitment to being an environmentally responsible venue, and we’re especially proud to have improved upon our previous Bronze status. The Greengage EcoSmart Accreditation is based on a detailed framework of environmental and sustainability best practices tailored to hospitality and event venues.
