The Derby Conference Centre finalists for Business Venue of The Year 2019

The Derby Conference Centre team had a fantastic night at the East Midlands Chambers Awards on Friday, September 6th – attending as finalists in the Business Venue of The Year Award for 2019. The nomination marks a superb business year for us and is a testament to the hard work that the whole team has put into being one of the premier business venues in Derbyshire and the East Midlands.

Our nomination cements The DCC as one of the best business venues around. Our reputation for stellar event nights – from celebrity speakers to tribute acts – has turned us into a favourite with businesses and the general public across Derbyshire and beyond.

Earlier in 2019, we rebranded with a slick new website and logo. The newly designed look-and-feel adds an air of modernity to the Conference Centre – and give our customers a reassuring sense that it’s is the place to be.

A lavish night, the East Midlands Chambers Awards has been running since 2017. Split into three events, the awards cover each of the regions in the East Midlands – Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire.

2019 is the first year that the Business Venue of The Year category, sponsored by Rhodes Wealth Management, has been in operation – our nomination places us firmly in the history books. The eventual winners of the category were the talented team at The Roundhouse. Congratulations to our wonderful competitors!

As nominees, we had to demonstrate ambition for the future, exceptional customer experiences and explain how our team maintains our high standards. Tough stuff!

Our MD, Matthew Hutchinson, was full of praise for the team: “This nomination is such a brilliant achievement for everyone that works so hard at The Derby Conference Centre, and is the icing on the cake of a great year. We’ve had had some significant investment in 2019 to make our venue even better for our customers and it’s great to see this recognised. We would also like to say a huge congratulations to all of the other finalists in our category, especially The Roundhouse who won the award. We felt honoured to be up against such fantastic businesses”.
