Our Safe Meeting Environment

Here at the Derby Conference Centre, we are excited to begin the new year with the return of face-to-face meetings.

2021 came with its challenges and we are all looking forward to getting back some normality.  On a recent LinkedIn poll ran by our Managing Director, Matthew Hutchings, 60% of respondents were planning on going back to face-to-face meetings, which is great news! However, this also meant that 40% were still cautious about returning. Therefore we want to make sure that you feel safe, so that when you are ready to book with us, you feel assured that you are in safe hands and we understand that you may wish to keep some of this guidance in place.

Below are some of the measures that will remain at the DCC to keep everyone safe:

• Hand sanitizing

Our hand sanitizing stations are here to stay. They are positioned at the entrance, reception and around the whole venue, so we encourage you to use these regularly throughout your stay.

• Ventilated meeting rooms

All of our meeting rooms have windows that all for fresh air to circulate around the room, and we encourage you to keep the windows open during your meeting.

• Social distancing in meeting rooms

1m and 2m social distancing is available in all our suites, ranging from small meetings, to up to 50 people as we have a range of room sizes on offer. However, if you no longer require social distancing, we can fit up to 200 people in our largest rooms, so we can accommodate a range of meeting sizes.

• Thorough cleaning regime in every room

Prior to your arrival, each meeting room will have been sanitised and deep cleaned prior to arrival and will only be refreshed when no delegates are in the room.

• Boxed food

If you would prefer not to sit in the restaurant or have one of our buffets, we are keeping our individually boxed buffets, so that you can stay in your meeting room and feel comfortable.

• Individual Settings

Each delegate will have their own water and glass each day, as well as their own paper and pencil for the duration of your booking. If choosing to have hot refreshments, all delegates will have disposable cups and condiments.

• Staff on-hand to help

Nothing is ever too much for our staff at the DCC, so if you have any concerns during your visit, you know that staff are on hand 24hrs a day to ensure everything.

The Conference Centre has remained a COVID Secure venue, offering a continued high standard with our team providing a safe environment for client meetings. We continue to be ‘Good to Go’ and ‘AiM Secure Accredited’ which highlights our dedication to offering an environment that is healthy and hygienic, as well as our commitment to do the very best for both our customers and staff.

The safety of our guests and delegates is paramount. So, whilst the restrictions are lifting in 2022, we are remaining to support our visitors to the highest standard as a COVID secure venue.
