As we’re in the middle of the country, delegates living in the South don’t have to travel too far North and vice versa; saving time and travel costs. They can literally ‘meet in the middle’ of the country! We’re also in an incredibly accessible position for delegates coming from overseas.

Transportation Links

Everywhere in the Midlands is close together, which makes transportation easy. Forget standing packed in like a tin of sardines on the tube. In the Midlands we have great motorway connections, numerous train stations, Birmingham and East Midlands airport, and the sky-link which is a 24-hour bus service that runs between Derby, Nottingham and Leicester. Our Conference Centre for example, has great connections from the M42 and M1 motorways, is just five minutes from Derby train station and is close to East Midlands airport. Wherever you go for a corporate event, you will find that our transportation links are second to none.

Shopping & Food

When holding a residential conference, delegates can end up with lots of free time in the evening, and will be looking to ‘break away’ from the conference venue. Whether that be to get food or to go shopping. the Midlands has some of the best shopping centres outside of London and Manchester. The Bullring in Birmingham will attract people from far and wide – it’s also the only shopping centre outside of London and Manchester with a Selfridges & Co. Just outside of Nottingham and Derby, we also have our own designer outlet shopping village, McArthur Glen, amongst many other shopping centres.

Sport & Countryside

From Pride Park to the Peak District, Derbyshire has a lot to offer. Our Conference Centre is just a stone’s throw from the Pride Park Stadium and their business park which is easily accessible on foot from the park and ride if a car park is not accessible. In the Midlands we’re big on sport. Delegates travelling for a conference may want to stay longer to see a game played by Derby County, Leicester Tigers, Nottingham Panthers, or to visit one of our many horse racecourses – making the Midlands a very convenient place to stay.
