Mental Health First Aiders Network Meeting

In November, James, one of our Mental Health First Aiders, participated in the final Mental Health First Aider Support Network Meeting of 2023. These gatherings serve as crucial platforms to explore various topics, and this quarter’s focus was on the pivotal skill of Active Listening.

The objective of this specialized training was to elevate the art of active listening—an essential skill that fosters trust, understanding, and empathy when engaging with individuals encountering mental health challenges.

The ambiance during the training session was characterized by collaboration and an open exchange of ideas. Participants left the session equipped with invaluable insights and practical tips, poised to apply active listening techniques effectively. The overwhelming positive feedback from the attendees further underscores the significance of these training sessions, setting the bar even higher for the forthcoming meeting scheduled for March.
