Faulty Towers Dining Experience – A Night of Mayhem, Mains & Manuel!

On Friday 23rd May, The Derby Conference Centre was transformed into the world’s most hilariously mismanaged hotel as we welcomed guests for a sold-out Faulty Towers Dining Experience. From Basil’s outbursts to Manuel’s “¿Qué?” moments and Sybil’s unwavering command, the evening was a perfect recipe of comedy, chaos, and cuisine!

A Recipe for Disaster (and Fun)

Guests arrived from 7:00 PM and were greeted with pre-dinner drinks – a moment of calm before Basil and co. arrived to stir things up. From the very start, the immersive experience had everyone laughing (and slightly nervous!) as the performers brought the iconic 70s sitcom to life.

At 7:30 PM sharp, the ‘service’ began – if you can call it that! With random soup delivery, surprise interruptions, and a highly unconventional bread and butter offering, the comedy unfolded around (and often on top of) the tables.

Sybil was quick to remind guests that “he’s from Barcelona” as poor Manuel tried to juggle dinner plates, miscommunications, and the occasional rat. Meanwhile, Basil’s barely-controlled rage and sarcastic charm had guests in stitches.

Three Courses… Served Questionably

Despite the interruptions, the three-course meal was a hit – even if the service was more slapstick than silver service. Guests enjoyed hearty mains, chaotic courses, and an atmosphere full of laughter and surprise.

The evening was capped off with Manuel’s unforgettable fire extinguisher finale, as “End of Show” music played to raucous applause and smiling faces.
