New Sales Office Manager at DCC

The Derby Conference Centre has appointed a new sales office manager.

Sofie Skaaning has recently accepted the role as sales office manager at the Derby Conference Centre. Sofie started the DCC in August 2021, as a conference and events sales executive, and took on the role of wedding co-ordinator. Sofie re-joins the sales team, after a stint in the operational side of the business, bringing this operational knowledge into the sales office, which will allow for an extra level of customer satisfaction and experience.

Being a multi-purpose venue, the DCC holds weddings for up to 200 people, as well as over 100 events a year, alongside conferences and meetings, as well as having on-site office space and hotel – there is a lot of opportunity that can be further explored and developed within Sofie’s new role.

This is the second internal promotion the DCC has undertaken within the past couple of months, which the venue is proud to be able to announce – bringing empowerment within their employees.

Sofie says “I could not be happier about accepting the role as Sales Office Manager and helping The Derby Conference Centre achieve some its greatest results ever. My recent experience working in different departments of the company has given me excellent skills to build both the sales team and the business. The team at the DCC is amazing and it shows when you enter the building, which makes for a great place of work. I look forward to a busy few months ahead with Christmas Parties coming up and the many exciting events in 2024”
