Presenting....BNWT Swap Shop

Swap Shop Events on August 26th 2010

Friday 23rd July 2010

BNWT is a new approach to clothes shopping…it is a passport to a whole new wardrobe without the expense!
Girls, how many of us have items hanging in our wardrobe that still have the tag on?
...
We all do it – we buy those ‘must have’ jeans one size too small in the hope that we can squeeze into them, a handbag that looks the perfect colour until you get it home or perhaps you just love to shop so much that you don’t have time to wear everything.
Well the Derby Conference Centre is hosting this popular fashion event in order to provide us girlies with the chance to shed your wardrobe of those unwanted items of clothing and swap them with like minded people for things that you will actually wear.
So how does it work?
A points system will be implemented to allow people to exchange the amount of points they have generated, through a pricing scheme set up prior to the event, for swapped clothes.
You are asked to bring between 2 and 5 items of clothing and or accessories on the day.
When you arrive our team will take your items from you, tally up the cost and exchange it for the same value (to the nearest £1) in tokens.
You then enjoy the fashion show that will include some of Derby’s best clothing boutiques and accessories shops, while we sort out the goodies!
We have also invited local charity stores along to bring quality and designer items for you to browse through and buy for cash (sadly these items can not be exchanged for tokens, as the charity shops relay on your cash.)
Whilst you are enjoying the show, we will arrange the items that you girls bring along into sizes and place them into the separate rooms for you to exchange for tokens later.
What if I don’t like any of the clothes?
Don’t worry, we will also have handbags, shoes and accessories available for you swop with. But all must be BNWT (Brand New With Tags).
What happens to any items left at the end of the event?
That’s the great thing about the evening!
Any items left at the end of the day will be donated to the attending charities – allowing them to resell in their shops.
So what are the rules?
Basically all the clothes that you bring in must be Brand New With Tags and have the price still attached.
How much does is cost?
Entry is £5
