New Accommodation Suite for DCC

Tuesday 27th July 2010

The Derby Conference Centre is delighted to unveil a new self-catering accommodation facility based at its London Road site.

India House was originally built on the complex for the LMS School of Transport, to house Indian nationals undergoing training at the centre.

This spring the Derby Conference Centre invested heavily in the facility, upgrading the ground floor complex to provide self-catering style accommodation aimed at white collar professionals looking to stay within the Derby area.

The complex has been equipped with a newly fitted kitchen, a laundry room for guests to use, the bedrooms have been redecorated and the bathroom facilities improved.  LCD TV’s have also been installed into each bedroom and the building now benefits from wireless internet access throughout, which is free for guests.

The building will be used for short to medium term lettings for professionals working in the area and graduates on placements with businesses in Derby that are looking for self-catering style accommodation for periods of one month or more.

With the benefit of an onsite bar and restaurant facility within the main building of the Derby Conference Centre plus onsite parking, guests can experience their home comforts whilst enjoying the benefits of a hotel.

The self-catering accommodation is priced competitively as a great alternative for white collar professionals working within Derby Monday to Friday, that are looking for a more suitable alternative to bed and breakfast accommodation, without the commitment and additional bills of a traditional house-let.
